The GBF supplies modest amounts of funds for projects on themes related to a broad range of German-British educational work. Up to £3,000 is available for projects which advance our goals. Funds can be channelled in partnership with other organisations.
Two schemes have successfully bid for funds under the 2008 scheme:
· BCCG Foundation: The GBF will fund the BCCG Foundation’s new ‘Douglas Hurd Scholarship’ initiative (www.bccg.de), which will allow a British student to undertake study Germany.
· DAAD (UK) competition: Building on GBF contributions in the past to the valuable competitions run by the DAAD (London office), the GBF will be supporting the 2008 initiative, to be detailed in the near future on the DAAD website.
If you have a proposal for a project that meets our funding criteria, please contact our Charities Officer with a brief overview of your project, outlining its rationale, description, contribution to German-British educational work and cost estimate. Successful outline proposals will be invited to submit full applications for consideration by the GBF Management Board.
