Real Estate in Germany

Opportunities for Investors as New Asset Classes open up

Brighter prospects for the German economy, and a new trend by both public and private sector real estate owners in Germany to disinvest property holdings, open up new opportunities for domestic and international investors. After years of stagnation, the German market – both residential and commercial – has recently become a magnet for foreign buyers. Now domestic investors are joining in too. Renewed discussion about REITs, together with the effect of property market liberalisation in other European countries, is generating fresh perspectives for real estate investments in Germany. The enhanced outlook for asset diversification into German property is the subject of the GBF-BCCG Second Düsseldorf Conference.
