Linking the Future

Perspectives and Pitfalls for Mobility Communication

Led by senior executives and strategic thinkers from BT, BMW, Munich Airport and Siemens, participants at this conference set out their visions for Communication and Mobility in the next decade and beyond. Will the world be forced to scale back ambitions for ever-increasing mobility in the light of ballooning energy prices, geopolitical tensions and environmental worries? Will more effective and highervalue communication take the slack as travel possibilities become increasingly constrained? Or will we have the best of both worlds: energy resources being replenished at lower prices and renewable energy entering the fold leading to both the quality and quantity of mobility and communication improvements?

This get-together in Munich provides an opportunity for business leaders and policymakers to outline thought-provoking views on the future shape of communication technology, energy sustainability and transport links around Europe and across the world.
