Chris Rea
Born in Northern Ireland in 1954, Chris Rea is the Managing Director of AESSEAL, the UK’s 2nd largest and the world’s 4th largest mechanical seal manufacturer.
Chris has spent 25 years growing the business, which had 5 people in 1981. Today the Group has over 1000 employees and operates from 66 locations in 30 countries. Sales of £61 M, 80% of which are exported to 83 countries, are predicted in 2006.
On the 19th June 2006 Chris won the title of “Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 North” and a week later AESSEAL were judged to be “Best Manufacturer in the UK” at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ MX2006 Awards.
