Christoph Urban
Christoph Urban began his career at Siemens AG Karlsruhe / Berlin
(1967-71); and then worked with the company in Erlangen (1972-76).
He later became Assistant to the Board of Directors, Corporate
Department for Business Administration, in Munich (1977-81) and
later Financial Director, Augsburg (1982-88).Further career
milestones include Head of Corporate Planning and Organisation,
Munich (1989-1990); Director of Administration and Director of
Corporate Planning in Treuhandanstalt, Berlin (1991); Vice President
and Executive Director in Treuhandanstalt for North America, New
York (1992); Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of
Siemens Group of companies, Istanbul (1993). Christoph Urban has
been Chief Financial Officer of Siemens plc, London since 1998. He
is Chairman of the British-German Association, and Supervisory
Board member of the Association for Auditing and Controlling at the
University of Augsburg.
Christoph is member of the Board of Directors of Koc Holding, Turkey’s biggest conglomerate, and he is a regular guest speaker at the LSE and Koc University in Istanbul’.
