Bernd Ziesemer
Bernd Ziesemer started his journalism career as Bonn Correspondent with German News Agency DDP (1982-83) and then became Frankfurt Correspondent with German Economic News Agency VWD (1984-85). He has been with the Handelsblatt publishing group since 1985, serving as Foreign Policy Editor and Political Editor on Wirtschaftswoche (1985-87 and 1987-90); Moscow and Tokyo Bureau Chief for Handelsblatt/Wirtschaftswoche (1990-94 and 1994-97).
He was Senior Writer at Wirtschaftswoche 1998-99 before becoming Deputy Editor at Handelsblatt (1999-2001). He has been Editor since January 2002.
Bernd Ziesemer studied political science, economics and modern Chinese history in Hamburg and Cologne. He is a postgraduate of Hamburg School of Journalism.
