Trevor Morgan
Trevor Morgan is senior economist (consultant) in the Economic Analysis Division of the International Energy Agency. He plays a lead role in managing and drafting the annual World Energy Outlook – the IEA’s flagship annual publication. He has contributed to every Outlook since 1999, including the forthcoming edition which focuses on China and India, and was also a member of a high-level IEA review team that assessed China’s natural gas policies in 2002. Previously, Mr Morgan was responsible for leading and contributing to a number of energy-policy reviews, to several studies of energy market reform and to the Agency’s Monthly Oil Market Report. Mr Morgan joined the Agency in 1992.
As an independent consultant with Menecon Consulting since 1999, Mr Morgan has also undertaken several assignments on behalf of major oil and gas companies, utilities, governments and international governmental bodies on a range of energy strategy, policy and economic issues.
Mr Morgan holds a Masters Degree in Energy Economics from the University of Surrey, UK and an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Southampton, UK.
