The German-British Forum was established in 1995 to reinforce pivotal political and business relationships to promote education and social exchange between Germany and Britain.

The German British Forum’s activities include: 

  • Engagement from several well-known figures in British-German relations including its President, Lord Hurd;  co-founders David Marsh CBE and Robert Bischof, who is the current Chairman, and previous chairmen Professor William Paterson OBE and Dr. Stefan Georg.
  • Its Annual Conference has featured high-profile speakers such as Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, Helmut Schmidt, Gerhard Schröder, George Soros, Alistair Darling, Helmut Schlesinger, David Simon and Kenneth Clarke.
  • Its Management Board, motivated by a  common interest of promoting dialogue and exchange between the two countries within a European and international context.

The German British Forum organises several conferences each year. The next conference, on growing mid-sized companies and family-owned companies, is scheduled for November 2014. Full details will follow:
